Beverley has been an artist for 50 years and has received many accolades including Fellowship of the Royal Queensland Art Society. Working in acrylics, Beverley uses luscious colours, bold brushwork and layering to create her evocative abstracts. She is not trapped by academic rules or limited to a single style.

This acrylic painting explores fragility and quiet resilience through flowers rendered in soft light. Muted tones, varying degrees of representation and visible brushwork allow the floral forms to fade and reappear inviting stillness, memory and transience while celebrating the on-going nature of life. 

'Rather than depict the objects literally, I aimed to convey the emotional experience of being immersed in nature - where colour, movement and memory blend into a living, abstract work of art.'
