Night at the Club is a visual appreciation of music and dancing. The rhythms, the people, the depths and intimacy of a venue inspiring you to dance and lose yourself. The work is also an investigation of the internal and the external - how the music and atmosphere permeate beyond the venue to the night outside.
James Randall is a Brisbane artist. He has been short listed and exhibited in numerous RQAS exhibitions. He was short-listed for the Kilgour Prize in 2021, the Brisbane Portrait Prize in 2021, 2023 and 2024 (winning the Metro Arts Experimental Prize) and the Stanthorpe Art Prize 2026.
