About
An Australian Relief Block printmaker specializing in hand coloured linocut prints.
Born in Melbourne, I initially trained as a Stereo Cutter (relief block maker) at ACI Fibre Packages before studying Art and Design at Preston Institute of Technology. I also hold three post graduate qualifications in education and art education.
I live in Brisbane where I produce prints in my Graceville studio.
I have been an exhibiting printmaking artist since the 1980s.
I am a member of Royal Queensland Arts Society, the Flying Arts Alliance and the Print Council of Australia, and Impress Printmakers.
WHO IS THE VISITOR HERE?
While sitting quietly in our forest camp,
at Ilkley on the Sunshine Coast,
two birds flew in to see what was going on.
Our viewpoint determines much of what we make of the world.
’Oh, visitors’ I thought...but who were the real visitors?
Birds like this have a wide ‘home’ range and this ‘drop-in’
was probably part of a habitual daily flight path.
Don’t let us disturb you, and thank you for the visit.
